"During the Water Summit we will discuss how multidisciplinary science, technology, policy and innovation can improve access to water, and how we can achieve this together."

Keynote speaker Prof. Elizabeth Tilley (ETH Zurich) will discuss the pathways to achieving the SDGs for WASH by examining:

  • The role of tertiary education in developing the engineers and policy makers required to meet the growing needs of the sector;
  • The funding mechanisms required to support research and teaching across the majority world to support WASH progress;
  • How publishing can be transformed to support the careers of academics working in under-resourced university settings.

On the program are also keynotes by Kalanithy Vairavamoorthy (Executive Director, IWA), Nick van de Giesen (Professor Water Resources Management, TU Delft) and Henk Ovink (Special Envoy for International Water Affairs); a Water dialogue; and Thematic Sessions on Climate adaptation, Urban water, Re-use, Water for Food and more.
